Basmati from the Centre of Health and Wisdom

Not without reason have the Himalayas always been known as a very special travel destination. In search for enlightenment, many travellers make spiritual pilgrimages to the majestic heights, where the Ganges has its origin as a sacred river to the Hindus. The highest peaks of our planet are also sacred to Buddhists, who devote themselves with their meditation rituals in the temples of Tibet. Also, Yogis from all over the world appreciate the Himalayas as a place of ancient wisdom and as a refuge for famous masters.

Our Basmati rice from the Indian Himalayas stands for authenticity and tradition and has been appreciated for centuries as a basic staple in Indian cuisine.

Natural and Original – the Cultivation of Basmati Rice

The Himalayas consist of snow-capped peaks and divine landscapes with breath-taking flora and fauna. Dense coniferous forests shape the fertile valleys which are crossed by crystal-clear, nutrition-rich glacial rivers.

The abundant rains of the monsoon cycle, the crystal-clear – and extraordinarily pure – melt waters, and the nutrition-rich soil conditions of the Himalayas are the basis of the magnificent vegetation. Here, the long grain Basmati rice grows and thrives, appreciated world-wide for its high quality.

Certified for Authenticity and Full of Energy

For our Saffron Rice Creation we exclusively use only the finest white 1121 Pusa Basmati rice from the Indian Himalayas, which is cultivated with an average length of 6.5mm according to the guidelines in the Code of Practice on Basmati. Thanks to its rich contents, such as iron, sodium, potassium, iodine, zinc, cobalt, phosphate and many more, this rice is the perfect foundation of a healthy diet and, due to being low in fat and protein, also aids digestion.

The Rice of Infinite Possibilities

With its earthy, floral aroma, Basmati Saffron Rice can be used for delicious Paella, as a side dish for meat or fish dishes or as an ingredient for a tasty coconut curry – it is the key to a variety of culinary uses. What’s more, its yellow colour does not just please the eye, but the aroma also tantalises the senses. Do you have any particular recipe ideas in mind?
