This year, MIASA proudly sponsors the German preliminaries of the world’s most prestigious cooking award: the Bocuse D’Or.

For 17 years now, the Bocuse D’Or has been regarded as the event in the culinary newcomer scene. In the final, this exciting, passionate contest will culminate in the most sought-after award for inspiring master chefs.

This world championship for top chefs was established by master chef Paul Bocuse in 1987 in Lyon to serve as a springboard for the most talented chefs in the world. Every two years the best of the best compete against each other to create culinary feats.

And now the time has come again: the German Bocuse D’Or preliminaries are taking place on 2nd February 2014 at the Gourmet fair INTERGASTRA in Stuttgart. The international jury of star chefs will base their votes for Germany both on appearance and taste. The second round of judging will take place on the 7th and 8th of May in Stockholm, Sweden, until in 2015 France will call out again: “And the….Bocuse D’Or goes to…”!

In our MIASA blog we will be telling all the exciting stories surrounding the Bocuse D’Or in Stuttgart, giving insights into the world of culinary treats and offering up our impressions of this spectacular event. Keep your fingers crossed for Germany’s top chefs for the Gourmet Cup 2015!
