Two guerilla chefs on tour

by | January 24, 2014 | All, Discover

MIASA presents two young top chefs from Berlin, Max Jensen and Felix Metzger, on their own journey into the world of culinary delights. Their self-descriptions of explorer, traveller and inventor, are reflected in their first film Guerilla Köche (Guerilla Chefs).

For this exciting German production, Max and Felix travelled through South East Asia for eleven months to examine many of the top kitchens on the other side of the world and gain new inspiration for their own creations. In Asia, Max and Felix travelled through eight countries, 25 cities and more than 11,000 kilometres to not only work in top restaurants like the André and the Trippling Club in Singapore or the Bo Innovation in Hong Kong, but also to collect unforgettable experiences from the street stalls of China, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Japan, Malaysia and India!

Before they both embarked on their own adventures, they learned their craft from the best of the best: Jensen completed his apprenticeship in the well-known Berlin restaurant Vau with star chef Kolja Kleeberg and Metzger cooked, amongst others, in the restaurant Margaux Unter den Linden in Berlin with star chef Michael Hoffman. Above all, Max and Felix are now united by their love of this highly skilled profession, the pleasure of tackling new challenges and the ultimate dream of running their own restaurant in the capital.

MIASA follows them both on their exciting journey and provides them with the finest the world of spices has to offer: our precious MIASA Saffron. At present, Max and Felix are operating their catering service Berlin Cuisine creating culinary delights for top notch events – where Saffron obviously must not be missed out!

Join us in anticipation of finding out all about the new adventures of these two young chefs this year and enjoy their film trailer, shown in selected cinemas since autumn 2013 – in German only.
