Market launch in North America with top export “Made in Germany”
We are taking the next significant step on the way to expand our leading position as global saffron brand: at the end of June, we celebrated our launch on the North American market at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York. At the international food fair, MIASA, in cooperation with Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture and with a special delegation of German exporters, introduces its premium products under the joint slogan “Made in Germany”.
After entering the markets in Scandinavia and Russia, the further expansion of our business into the North American market shall contribute substantially to the successful internationalisation of MIASA. With one of the largest food markets worldwide, the USA offer immense potential for our growth strategy. In addition to Russia, China and Switzerland, the USA is the most important import country for Germany. Additionally, the worldwide demand for food “Made in Germany” increases steadily because the high quality, the excellent price-performance ration and reliable suppliers are convincing across the globe. Germany exported food worth 54.4 billion Euro in 2014 – an increase that clearly outstrips the domestic turnover.
Especially in the US, “Organic Food” and “Functional Food” is currently in great demand. Food has to be healthy, nutritional and – of course – of the best quality. High-quality food becomes more and more part of the modern lifestyle; premium food brands grow in importance – a trend that MIASA serves, and actively helps shape with best-quality saffron products. We are keen to use this great potential this year, and place MIASA products on the US and Canadian market. After intensive preparation during one year, we will hold talks with the most suitable importers and distributors at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York. The distribution in the US and Canada is due to launch in 2015.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank our investors for their confidence, which enables us to an independent advance financing, and accelerates the market launch on the international stage.
We are looking forward to a successful start of this new MIASA chapter at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York!
The Summer Fancy Food Show in New York has become the most important trade fair for delicatessen in North America over the years.
